We are currently seeking a Mechanical Ventilation Engineer to join a growing and dynamic team specialising in the installation and maintenance of mechanical ventilation systems, including ductwork and associated pipework.
This position is ideal for a qualified plumber or mechanically skilled tradesperson looking to transition into a specialist role within the HVAC sector. Full training is provided, offering a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and build a long-term career.
Key Responsibilities
- Install mechanical ventilation systems, including ductwork and associated pipework
- Work from technical drawings and design specifications
- Assist with airflow setup and achieving required flow rates
- Install and fit ventilation components on commercial and residential projects
- Ensure all work complies with current health and safety regulations
- Collaborate effectively with site teams, supervisors, and engineers
- Carry out basic fault-finding and system checks when required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
RequirementsEssential
- Background in plumbing, mechanical installation, or a similar trade
- Full UK driving licence (required for travel between sites)
- Own basic hand tools suitable for installation work
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (or willingness to learn)
- Basic understanding of pipework systems and mechanical installations
- Strong hands-on and practical skills
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience in HVAC, ventilation, or ductwork installation
- Previous site-based construction experience
- CSCS card or relevant trade certification
