Trade Recruit is working on behalf of a fast-growing and well-established roofing contractor in Castleford to recruit an experienced and reliable Roofer Subcontractor to join their expanding team.

Role Overview
As a Roofer Subcontractor, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of roofing works, including supporting and installing solar panel systems on roofs. You will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard in line with industry regulations and company expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out roofing installations, repairs, and maintenance across a variety of projects
- Install and support the fitting of solar panel systems on pitched and flat roofs
- Work with different roofing systems, including:
- Tiled roofs
- Slate roofs
- Flat roofing systems
- Identify and diagnose roofing issues and carry out effective repairs
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations, particularly when working at height and with solar installations
- Maintain high standards of workmanship at all times
- Work independently and as part of a team across multiple sites
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members
- Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are used safely and efficiently
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organised
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Roofer within the construction or roofing industry
- Experience installing or working alongside solar panel systems (highly desirable)
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems and repair techniques
- Ability to work at height safely and confidently
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- CSCS card preferred
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
