Trade Recruit are working on behalf of a fast-growing and highly reputable client who is rapidly expanding their presence across London Kent and Essex. Due to a strong and consistent pipeline of secured projects, they are now seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join their team on a subcontract basis.

Role Overview
As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service, maintenance, fault finding, and installation works across a range of systems. You will be working across some commercial but mainly high-end residential environments, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with industry regulations.
This is a mobile role covering London, Kent and Essex, requiring strong technical ability, professionalism, and the confidence to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and commissioning of new systems, mainly single and multi-split systems
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on air conditioning systems
- Diagnosing and repairing faults across a wide range of equipment
- Working on split systems, multi-split systems, and VRV/VRF systems
- Responding to breakdowns and reactive callouts in a timely manner
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with current regulations and best practices
- Maintaining accurate job reports and communicating effectively with clients and site teams
- Always representing the client professionally while on site
Candidate Requirements
- Valid F-Gas certification (essential)
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent)
- Proven experience working as an AC Engineer in a mobile or subcontract capacity
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across a variety of systems
- Solid working knowledge of VRV/VRF systems and modern AC equipment
- Full UK driving licence
- Own tools and the ability to work independently without supervision
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach to work
