Trade Recruit is proud to be recruiting on behalf of one of our prestigious clients, a fast‑growing electrical contractor entering an exciting new phase of expansion into Solar and building a more structured, scalable delivery operation.
As they shift from a founder-led model to a systemised delivery engine, they’re looking for a highly organised Electrical Contracts Manager to take full ownership of the delivery cycle — from job handover through to completion and sign-off.
This is a structured, operations-focused position for someone who thrives on planning, control, quality and building smooth, repeatable delivery processes. You’ll act as the operational lead for site teams and ensure every job is delivered safely on time and to the highest electrical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery across electrical contracting and solar workstreams.
- Maintain a live delivery schedule, protecting capacity and customer expectations.
- Own Sales-to-Ops handovers: confirming scope, timelines and assumptions.
- Ensure all jobs are “ready to install” before works start.
- Coordinate surveys, scaffolding, subcontractors and access requirements.
- Control material ordering – right materials, right time, right job.
- Act as day-to-day operational lead for electricians, supervisors and apprentices.
- Oversee quality, compliance, certification and sign-off processes.
- Manage subcontractor documentation, performance and standards.
- Identify risks early and propose solutions.
- Improve consistency with clear checklists, templates and processes.
- Communicate clearly with customers and manage on‑site expectations.

- A structured, predictable delivery rhythm.
- Jobs starting on time with full planning completed.
- Reduced delays, fewer last-minute issues, and minimal repeat visits.
- Clear communication and improved customer experience.
- Electrical compliance and sign-off completed accurately and consistently.
- Strong rapport with site teams and customers.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have
- 3+ years’ experience in Contracts or Operations Management within electrical contracting.
- A proven electrical background – time-served electrician or electrical supervisor.
- Strong understanding of electrical standards, compliance and certs.
- Excellent planning and scheduling abilities across multiple live jobs.
- Experience managing subcontractors and suppliers.
- Solid Health & Safety knowledge.
- High attention to detail with a calm, solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to set and uphold high delivery standards.
Nice-to-Have
- Solar experience (beneficial but not essential).
Qualifications
- ECS Black or Gold Card
- Strong working knowledge of electrical regulations and sign-off
- SMSTS / SSSTS (advantageous)
Benefits
