We are seeking an experienced and reliable Freelance Gas Engineer to support a strong and consistent pipeline of domestic work across Wolverhampton and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a self‑employed engineer looking for steady work, excellent day rates, and long‑term collaboration with a reputable and well‑organised company.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of domestic gas boilers and heating systems
- Diagnosing faults efficiently and providing professional solutions
- Completing gas safety checks and system testing to regulatory standards
- Accurately completing job sheets, service records, and compliance documentation
- Delivering excellent customer service at all times
- Ensuring all work complies with Gas Safe and industry regulations
- Managing workload independently across multiple locations
- Communicating effectively with customers and office support teams
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and company‑provided assets to a high standard
- Following all health and safety policies and procedures
Essential:
- Gas Safe Registered
- NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Gas Engineer
- Strong knowledge of domestic heating systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills
Desirable:
- G3 (Unvented Hot Water Certificate)
