Trade Recruit is working with a well-established and respected business in the North Yorkshire area, who are now seeking an experienced Plumber and Heating Engineer to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with strong plumbing and heating knowledge to work on a wide range of domestic and light commercial projects. The role will involve installation, servicing, and repairs, with a focus on delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out a full range of plumbing and heating works in domestic and small commercial properties
  • Installation, servicing and repair of boilers, heating systems, and appliances
  • Diagnose and resolve faults quickly and effectively
  • Complete general plumbing duties including pipework, bathroom works, and system maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with all current gas safety regulations and industry standards
  • Accurately complete job sheets, service records and any necessary paperwork
  • Always provide a professional and customer-focused service
  • Maintain company van, tools, and equipment to a high standard
  • Work independently as well as part of a wider team of engineers

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience post-qualification in plumbing and heating
  • Recognised qualifications with current certifications: CCN1, CKR1, HTR1, MET1, OFTEC, LPG, CONGLP1
  • Strong background in both plumbing and heating systems
  • Knowledge of renewable energy systems (e.g., air source heat pumps) would be an advantage but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to manage own workload and work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer care
