Trade Recruit is looking for a motivated and commercially driven Regional Sales Consultant to cover Kent & Sussex within the heating and renewable energy sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing customer relationships, and promoting a range of heating and renewable solutions including heat pumps, solar PV, boilers, underfloor heating, and energy-efficient systems.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in heating, HVAC, renewables, or technical sales who enjoys working in a field-based environment and building long-term client relationships.
Main Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities across Kent & Sussex
- Build strong relationships with domestic and commercial customers
- Attend customer meetings and site visits
- Promote heating and renewable energy solutions
- Prepare quotations and close sales opportunities
- Achieve sales targets and grow the territory
- Maintain accurate CRM records
- Work closely with installation and technical teams
Technical Knowledge
- Maintain strong product knowledge across heating and renewable technologies
- Advise customers on energy efficiency, cost savings, and government incentives
- Stay up to date with industry regulations, renewable grants, and market trends
- Work closely with technical and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery
Customer Service
- Deliver a high level of customer service throughout the sales process
- Build long-term client relationships and generate repeat business
- Resolve customer queries professionally and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records using CRM systems
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience in sales within heating, HVAC, plumbing, construction, or renewable energy sectors
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and target-driven
- Ability to work independently and manage a regional territory
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Confident presenting technical solutions to customers
Desirable
- Experience selling renewable energy systems
- Knowledge of heat pumps, solar PV, or low-carbon technologies
- Existing network within Kent & Sussex construction or heating sectors
- Experience using CRM software
- Technical understanding of domestic or commercial heating systems
