Trade Recruit is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client, Draw Plan, a growing architectural practice based in Culcheth, Warrington.
Draw Plan is looking for an experienced Senior Architect to join their team. This is a key appointment for the business and would suit someone confident in leading projects, managing client relationships, and coordinating design and technical delivery from concept through to completion. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director and play an important role in the next stage of the company’s growth.
This role is suited to someone who can take real ownership of projects, lead delivery, and act as the primary day-to-day client contact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage live architectural projects across relevant RIBA stages, from concept and planning through to technical delivery and completion
- Act as the main day-to-day contact for clients, maintaining strong working relationships
- Take ownership of project delivery, ensuring outputs meet programme, scope, and quality expectations
- Coordinate and manage external consultants including structural engineers, quantity surveyors, planning consultants, building control, and contractors
- Review and contribute to design development and technical delivery throughout all project stages
- Oversee project information, including drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Carry out thorough quality control checks of drawings, Revit models, and technical information prior to issue
- Monitor project progress, programme, and deliverables, identifying risks and opportunities
- Demonstrate commercial awareness, including managing scope, identifying variations, and supporting additional service opportunities
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Contribute to the improvement of internal systems, templates, QA processes, and workflows
Requirements
Essential
- Qualified Architect (ARB registered)
- Proven experience in a Senior Architect / Project Lead role
- Strong experience managing projects and leading delivery
- Strong working knowledge of Revit is essential – the role is not purely production-based, but you must be confident reviewing, managing, and contributing to Revit-based projects
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and planning processes
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and consultants
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality control
Highly Advantageous
- Experience in domestic residential projects, particularly home extensions, refurbishments, conversions, or small-scale residential developments
- Experience working in a small to medium-sized practice environment
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles

- Competitive salary of £55,000 – £65,000
