Trade Recruit is currently seeking qualified and experienced Solar PV Electricians for ongoing renewable energy projects across Dover and surrounding areas. We are looking for reliable professionals who can confidently carry out solar PV electrical installations from start to finish while maintaining excellent safety and workmanship standards.
This role offers ongoing work, excellent rates, and the opportunity to join major renewable energy projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation of solar PV systems on residential and commercial properties
- Install and connect inverters, isolators, battery storage systems, and generation meters
- Complete AC/DC wiring and containment
- Perform testing, commissioning, and fault finding on solar PV systems
- Ensure all installations comply with current wiring regulations and health & safety standards
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Complete installations efficiently and to a high standard
- Work independently or alongside installation teams
- Maintain accurate job documentation and reports
- Provide professional communication with clients and site management
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as a Solar PV Electrician
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- ECS Gold Card or JIB Card
- Solar PV installation experience
- Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent preferred)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Own tools and PPE
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems and battery storage
- Ability to complete projects independently
- Strong knowledge of health & safety procedures
Desirable Qualifications
- AM2 Certification
- Experience with battery storage systems
- EV charging installation experience
- IPAF or PASMA certification
- First Aid certification
- Experience on commercial solar projects
